I'm back from Yakima with tons of pictures and somewhat in the way of art. Although, most of my art is still in the outline stages or in the process of having the outline finished.>< Hopefully, I can get all of that done soon.

Anyway...

I ordered the wrong tactical vest from cheaperthandirt.com. I meant to order a black Mil-Tec tactical vest, and instead I ordered an ACU MOLLE tactical vest on accident. I'm currently trying to get this issue resolved by either ordering the Mil-Tec or just sending back the MOLLE. I kind of wish they would have put the Mil-Tec on their site and not just in the magazine. It would make things easier and less confusing if they put up proper pictures of the gear as well.>>

This is just lovely.

Yeah...I gotta stay with my grandma down in Yakima until memorial day. My dad will be coming down to pick her up when memorial day comes and we'll take her to visit my grandfathers' grave.

The main thing I have with all this is that I basically didn't have a choice in the whole matter. I have to look after my grandma over this period of time to make sure she's doing fine and until we take her to Tacoma. Yakima, though, is just a shithole in the middle of nowhere. We've been telling her to move to Bellingham where she'll be near my aunt, but she refuses to because she feels comfortable living here. It's just a pain for my dad and I to keep going out here just to help her with stuff. I have no access to a scanner whatsoever. So I won't be submitting any artwork until possibly Monday. It's also given one of the worst art blocks ever. If anyone has any ideas on what to draw, I'm open to some.

Talk about being irritated, and grandparents do a pretty good job of that.X3 All I ever hear is the constant asking of questions, calling of my name, telling me shit I already know and just constantly talking to me when I try to go off do the stuff she wants me to do. I can't even sit down for five seconds and then I hear my name, again.

Boredom is a main problem here, but what is worse are all the friggin' dolls. I mean, you should see the amount of them in the house alone. It's like my grandma's making her own little private army. You can't even walk around a corner without seeing one. I'm not going to even discuss all the ones she has in storage as well.-_-

The upside to all this? The local military surplus store called Grumpy's is really the only place of significance here. Purchased a PAGST helmet to go with my new gear. It's about time I was able to find one without having to order one online. It also came with woodland camo cover to compliment my woodland camo uniform. Thankfully it wasn't digital.

On another note, I've been looking extensively at maybe adopting a wolf or wolfdog. Right now, that's a big maybe, as their curious and destructive nature I'm not sure will be good for the household. I'm afraid it will end up with the family chihuahua chewed up. Although, I wouldn't mind it.:3 Well, for now, though, it's just a thought, but I hope that later on I'll be able to own one.

Having said all of that, I'll put some more art up and get some pictures of me in uniform rolling when I get back.

If guys want to chat some time you can just add me from one of the IM choices below. Since I don't have access to any of them right now, I'll be sure to get to any who have added me.:)

Peace!

Down to business

Well, Mother's Day went extremely well. Bought my mom some flowers and a card. We went over to my grandma Jeans' house to visit for Mother's Day and to check up on her. It was also my grandma McAllisters' birthday yesterday as well, so, headed over there, talked for a little bit, then went home and back to the same old boredom, again.

My brother arrived at Fort Louis in Tacoma, Washington a couple days ago where he was reassigned. He not only is closer to family in general, but at least he doesn't have to take a plane all the way from Fort Benning in Georgia just to come visit us on holidays and leave time (talk about saving money...phew). My mom also informed today that my brother got put into a stryker brigade, which will later be going down to California, spend a month down there and then deploy to Iraq in February of next year. My prayers are with him. When he does deploy he's gonna need a lot of support guys. All I ask is that you keep him in mind when the time comes.

Nothing much in the way of anything happening over here, just more yard work and such that needs to get done.

I do have more military gear on the way, though.

Good News: The gear itself has been sent and is on its way.
Bad News: The camouflage I was currently bidding on has gone up too much in money because some jackass decided to slap down $25 to counter some other guys' bid. Lol, they're woodland camo bdu's guys, not a set of classic transformers.XD I'm just surprised the length people go just to get a set bdu's when there are tons of other sets just like it on ebay. That, and paying $12 for shipping is a definite no. I tell ya...=/

I'll get pictures up of my new gear and camo when they come in for you all.

We just bought Mario Kart for Wii which has proven to be pretty fun so far. Although, I still gotta get used to using the steering wheel instead of the remote itself. They've got street and dirt bikes on it now! Yes!

On another note, I'm probably going to stop putting up artwork on DA for a while, except for the two Jin-Roh sketches that I'll be putting some detail into to get those done and over with. I really want to take the time and get some practice in with photoshop and using pen for better detail, along with practicing some anthro anatomy. I really need to work on it. I might put up things here and there so you guys aren't left totally in the dark.

Any tips or hints for artwork that you guys can give me (traditional and digital) would be very much appreciated.:)

That's about it! Peace!

Stole this from:icontornare:

Rule #1: Post these rules.

Rule #2: Each tagged person must post 8 things about their self on their journal.

Rule #3: At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal.

Rule #4: Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.

Rule #5: No tag-backs.

Fact #1: I am heavily into anything and everything military. I'll get the urge to look up and read up on military equipment, current events and new weapons almost every day, it's basically my life. You should see my family and the look they give when I start talking about that stuff.XD

Fact #2: I have a total Warhammer 40,000 obsession. Some days, I'll go all day just looking up stories, artwork and even events going on with the table top game itself, mainly anything that has to do with the Imperial Guard. I especially like to look at the background of the Imperium itself.

Fact #3: Collecting army equipment has become one of my main hobbies. Gas masks are especially one of the highlights of collecting. I just love seeing the reaction from my parents when they see me wearing them around the house. Looking to go for full gear soon.

Fact #4: Every time I see breathtaking scenery I just have to take a picture. I am truly fascinated by the scenery photography of others and that inspires me to do my own. The same for military photography. I easily get inspired by other people and have to do some.

Fact #5: Sunsets...I love sunsets. The feeling of just sitting there and watching one until it fades just fascinates me. I don't know, there's just something about them that gives me a sense of peace.

Fact #6: Science-fiction/military stories are kind of my life as well. The stories that are thought up never really come out on paper, since I'm not the best when it comes to writing them. I'll lay them out and think up a storyline and character roles and all that stuff, but never write them. I love reading other peoples' sci fi stories as an interest and to see how they put it together.

Fact #7: I HATE technology. Yeah, I may use it for everyday use, but I hate it to death. The updates, the anti virus protection installments, the viruses and all the other crap that comes with it. Lol, I'm just plain tired of it all, even music technology. Screw ipods...

Fact #8: I live for storms! Especially thunder and lightning storms. I look at some of the major cities that have them and think that's it not fair. At least once I would like to have a major one right here so I can stand outside and watch, or be in the middle of it.

So, I'm not going to tag 8 people...so I'll tag...
